On the 31st of January 2023, the Ministry of Labor issued a Notice Relating to special cases where foreigners have permission to work in the Kingdom of Thailand. This notice has been in effect since the 1st of February 2023.
This amendment means that foreigners wishing to work in Thailand (and their legitimate spouse), who the Kingdom believe will stimulate the economy through their high potential, are now no longer required to present a medical certificate stating they are free from any prohibited diseases when applying for their Long-Term Resident Visa (LTR).
